Pregnancy test

Pregnancy tests work by checking the blood for the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), also referred to as the ‘pregnancy hormone’.

You can have two types of test; one checks the blood and the other checking the urine. Most women use a urine test or a home test kit. This is not as reliable as a blood test so your doctor would confirm any positive test through a urine test with a blood test.
